Welcome to the Kingdom of Argos. Ruled by a wise and fair man, the Kingdom of Argos has been prosperous for many years. The Royal Family have always tried their best to support their people though wise donations and general kindness. Such things were never meant to last forever, now were they? A darkness has quickly swept over this once gentle land, casting ominous shadows over its occupants and all anyone can think is: he found it. Found what, you may ask? The Forgotten Grimoire.

A dark artifact said to have been sealed away forever due to the damage it caused, the Forgotten Grimoire is a spell book that has been famous through time. Thought to only be a legend. Well, King Amaranth has unearthed it and what he doesn't know is that this book has a life of its own. A conscience, if you will. It does not speak, nor move, it cannot see, nor hear, but it knows. This grimoire picks and chooses its hosts throughout the years, clinging to them like malevolent parasites. The human does not control the book; the book controls them. Said to be the incarnation of evil, this book details the required spells needed to completely rule the entire world. The Forgotten Grimoire can give its owner power without restrictions, but at a cost, of course. The book will change you, alter everything that you are.

Amongst the chaos and panic that seems to surround the occupants of the world, different factions are rising. Other magic-wielders are using their grimoires and binding together to form powerful groups. Most are ready to invade the kingdom and take the book by force, others are smarter and know that things are not always as easy as they sound. Along with those that desire to free the world of this disaster, there are also those that serve the King without question. And, of course, there are also those that want to seek its power for their own, darker forces that seem drawn into the books allure. Even they don't know the havoc this item can wreak.
